Our Balers Help Raleigh Recycle & Compact Waste
Raleigh is known as the “City of Oaks” for its many oak trees, which line the streets in the heart of the city. The city is also known as the “Smithsonian of the South,” based on an abundance of high-quality, free museums, historic attractions, and educational institutions. It is one of the fastest growing cities in America. Raleigh is part of the Research Triangle area, together with Durham and Chapel Hill. The “Triangle” nickname began after the 1959 plan and construction of the Research Triangle Park, in Durham and Wake Counties. It is in the middle of the three cities and their universities.
Small, medium, and large businesses turn to Bramidan to help manage their waste streams.
Raleigh Recycling Costs Doubled
While this may be true, the cost almost doubled for most cities and the same is true for Raleigh to get rid of their recycling. North Carolina produces more than 11 million tons of waste but recycles 1.6 million tons of material annually in local recycling programs, according to a state news release celebrating Nov. 15 as “America Recycles Day.”
But many still make mistakes that add to the costs. Raleigh will continue to try to deal with its losses and Bramidan is doing all it can to help the city get its commercial generators to separate its recycling use equipment already available to turn the tide. Bales are easier to rail or truck to shipping points and the uncontaminated material makes the value go further in lowering costs.
